8月21日晚，一场汇聚青春智慧、跨越城市边界的青年人才夜校活动在东方市温情启幕。本次活动由东方国际人才之家、海口国际人才之家联合主办，共青团东方市委协办，以“交流促共鸣、合作共成长”为主题，在轻松热烈的氛围中碰撞思想，促进青年人才成长。本次夜校聚焦“实用+趣味”，不仅整合了东方本地国际人才资源，也借助海口国际人才之家的优势，特邀外籍人才担任授课教师，让青年在轻松氛围中提升英语应用能力。“两地携手，就是想把‘接地气’的学习资源送到青年身边，让英语不止是工具，更是连接文化的桥梁。”海口国际人才之家负责人在现场分享道。
On the evening of August 21, a youth talent night school event that showcased youthful ingenuity and transcended urban boundaries officially commenced in Dongfang City. Co-hosted by the Dongfang International Talent Home and the Haikou International Talent Home, with support from the Dongfang Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, the event adopted the theme "Exchange for Resonance, Cooperation for Growth," fostering intellectual exchange and nurturing young talents within a relaxed yet dynamic atmosphere. Focusing on a blend of practicality and entertainment, the program leveraged local international talent resources in Dongfang while capitalizing on the strengths of the Haikou International Talent Home by inviting foreign experts as instructors, enabling participants to enhance their English proficiency in a comfortable setting. "Through this collaboration between the two locations, we aim to deliver accessible learning resources directly to young people, ensuring English serves not merely as a tool but as a bridge connecting cultures," stated the head of the Haikou International Talent Home during the event.
活动伊始，一首经典英文歌曲《500 Miles》点燃了全场热情。外籍老师先用吉他伴奏哼唱，带着学员逐句学唱，从发音技巧到情感表达，细致指导中穿插“歌词故事分享”——“这首歌里的‘home’，就像我们每个人心中的东方，值得用语言去诉说。”学员们跟着旋律轻轻合唱，歌声里既有对英文韵律的感知，更有对“家乡”的共鸣。唱罢歌曲，“导游实战课”接棒登场。外籍老师以“如何用英语介绍东方”为主题，从景点到特产层层展开：先是展示鱼鳞洲、黎锦基地等标志性场景的图片，引导学员用英语描述“鱼鳞洲灯塔”“黎锦技艺”；随后聚焦东方特色水果，从黄灿灿的芒果到香甜多汁的菠萝蜜，老师教大家认读水果名称、描述口感，还设计了“模拟水果摊”互动 —— 学员们化身摊主，用英语向“外国游客”推介：“This mango from Dongfang is super sweet, grown with sunshine and sea breeze！”
The event began with the classic English song "500 Miles" igniting the audience's enthusiasm. The foreign instructor first hummed along to the guitar accompaniment, guiding participants through each verse—from pronunciation techniques to emotional expression—while interspersing "lyric story sharing": "The word' home' in this song embodies the Eastern spirit within each of us, worthy of linguistic expression." Participants softly chanted along with the melody, their voices reflecting both an appreciation for English rhythm and a deep resonance with the concept of home. Following the song, the "Practical Tour Guide Course" commenced. Focusing on the theme "How to Introduce the East in English," the instructor covered various aspects ranging from scenic spots to local specialties: first showcasing images of iconic sites like Fish Scale Island and Li Brocade production bases, then guiding participants to describe landmarks such as the Fish Scale Island Lighthouse and Li Brocade craftsmanship; subsequently exploring Eastern fruits—from golden mangoes to juicy jackfruit—the instructor taught participants how to identify fruit names and describe their textures, while organizing an interactive "fruit stall simulation" where participants acted as vendors promoting their products to "foreign tourists": "This mango from Dongfang is super sweet, grown with sunshine and sea breeze!"
夜幕渐深，活动在欢声笑语中落幕。当学员们哼着《500 Miles》道别时，这场由两地国际人才之家携手打造的夜校活动，是青年用英语讲好东方故事的“练兵场”，更是两地人才“共学共长”的温暖纽带。未来，东方国际人才之家将进一步加强与海口国际人才之家合作联动，实现外籍人才服务共建、活动联办、资源共享。
As night deepened, the event concluded amidst laughter and joy. As participants hummed "500 Miles" in farewell, this evening program jointly organized by the International Talent Homes of both cities served not only as a platform for young people to tell Eastern stories effectively in English, but also as a warm bond fostering mutual learning and growth among talents from both regions. Moving forward, the Oriental International Talent Home will further strengthen collaboration with the Haikou International Talent Home to achieve joint development of services for foreign talents, co-hosting events, and sharing resources.
