On August 21, the Organization Department of the Ledong County Party Committee (County Party Committee Talent Development Bureau), the County Communist Youth League Committee, and the County Education Bureau, in collaboration with the Haikou International Talent Home, held a public welfare English teaching session for international talent volunteers at the County Siyuan Experimental Primary School. This initiative enabled children to access international classrooms right on their doorstep, engage in face-to-face interactions with international professionals, and brighten their summer vacation with knowledge and joy.

In the classroom, the international foreign-language volunteer teaching team tailored their activity plans according to the age groups of the children, expanding the number of instructional classes to three and designing customized curriculum content for each class—focusing on cultivating a linguistic intuition and encouraging playful imitation for younger students, while emphasizing situational dialogue and expressive skill development for older students—ensuring that children of every age group can achieve growth at a pace that suits them best.

It is understood that among the six teaching volunteers of this international talent volunteer team, three hold doctoral degrees, two hold master's degrees, and one holds an undergraduate degree. Although they hail from different countries and professional fields, they all share the same passion for public welfare. The children now have the opportunity to access authentic English pronunciation and genuine ways of communication right at their doorstep; every time they speak or engage in interaction in class, this experience subtly bridges the gap between them and the wider world. More importantly, the classroom offers an immersive experience with the children at its core—English is woven into the rhythm of songs, embedded within game challenges, and integrated into interactive situational Q&A sessions; throughout the classroom, a vibrant wave of enthusiasm for participation continues to flow.

In the next phase, the Organization Department of the Ledong County Party Committee (County Party Committee Talent Development Bureau), the County Communist Youth League Committee, and the County Education Bureau will continue to serve as bridges and links, establish broader international talent exchange platforms, deepen collaborative partnerships, and inject international talent momentum into the economic and social development of Ledong. Simultaneously, by closely addressing the practical needs of children's growth, they will persistently launch public welfare classes featuring foreign teachers, facilitate the dissemination of high-quality educational resources to grassroots levels, and support the healthy and joyful development of young people.

"The foreign teacher always has such interesting things to say; he would invite us to play some games—it felt like we were playing a game, yet also like we were learning," said Liu Yuyao, a fourth-grade student.

"I feel that the teachers here are highly professional, and the games here are very fun. I've come to appreciate how interesting English can be. The colors we learned were red, white, blue, and green—red, (white), green, and blue," said Chen Yaqi, a fourth-grade student.

"I brought my child to participate in this public welfare English class activity today, and I found it truly wonderful. While attending the class, my child played with the teacher throughout the entire session; they had a very pleasant experience, learned English, and gained tremendous benefits," said Han Biying, a parent of one of the children.

"I found this public welfare lesson to be exceptionally valuable and highly practical. Previously, my child didn't dare to speak; however, through interactive games, he has now become confident in speaking English," said Xie Qiuying, a parent of the student.

"Hello, my name is Jay. I'm very happy to have this opportunity. The students here are truly hardworking; they know that with enough English practice, they can write in English. Some students have even mentioned that they speak excellent English. They all enjoy learning, and next time, I'll need to prepare even more challenging material for teaching," said the foreign language volunteer, Jay.
