9月4日至6日,第七届琼港澳台青年足球友谊赛在海口观澜湖中国足球(南方)训练基地成功举办。来自海南、香港、澳门、台湾四地的30支球队,600余名青年足球健儿齐聚海口,在绿茵场上挥洒汗水、切磋球技、共叙情谊。
From September 4 to 6, the 7th Qiong‑Hong‑Kong‑Macao‑Taiwan Youth Football Friendly Match was successfully held at the China Football (Southern) Training Base in Mission Hills, Haikou. More than 600 young football players from 30 teams representing Hainan, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan gathered in Haikou. They sweated it out on the pitch, honed their skills against one another, and fostered friendship.
Following the opening ceremony on the morning of September 5, participating teams engaged in fierce competition based on draw‑determined groupings. Adopting the 11‑a‑side format, this tournament set up four groups in total: Men’s Group A, Group B, Group C and the U15 Youth Group. Four additional U15 youth teams were specially included, fully embodying the purpose of “making friends through football and promoting national fitness”.
After two days of intense competition, Diocesan Boys’ School‑U19 from Hong Kong claimed the title of Men’s Group A. Haikou Enya‑St. Peter International Talents United Team won the Men’s Group B championship. Hong Kong Ming Foundation Yuen Long Football Club took home the Men’s Group C title, while Hainan Deyu Football Team‑U15 secured the championship in the U15 Youth Group.
The closing ceremony and award‑giving ceremony of the tournament took place on September 6. Present at the event were leading officials including Yin Libo, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department; Chen Jianjiao, Executive Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee; Chen Weidong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Haikou Municipal Party Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department; and Zhang Dongpeng, Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of the Haikou Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Haikou Taiwan Affairs Office.
As one of the event’s organizers, the United Front Work Department of the Haikou Municipal Party Committee took part in the overall coordination, organization and logistical support for the tournament throughout the whole process. Leveraging the well‑equipped venues and supporting services of the China Football (Southern) Training Base, it delivered a safe and high‑quality competition experience for young participants from the four regions. Upholding the mission of “Making Friends through Football, Building Dreams Together”, the event keeps refining its competition system. It not only builds communication channels for business circles from Hainan, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, but also offers an opportunity for young people to hone their football skills and deepen friendship.
Launched in 2019, the Qiong‑Hong‑Kong‑Macao‑Taiwan Youth Football Friendly Match has been successfully held for seven sessions so far, attracting more than 3,000 youth participants in total from Hainan, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Taking football as a bond and focusing on youth exchanges, the tournament serves as an important platform for interaction among young people across the four regions. It has become a signature event for deepening youth‑oriented exchanges and cooperation between the Hainan Free Trade Port and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Actively promoted by the United Front Work Department of the Haikou Municipal Party Committee, the event has gradually grown into an influential brand for youth sports exchanges. The department will continue to enhance the reputation of this signature activity, advance emotional affinity as well as exchanges and cooperation among young people from the four regions, and pool more youthful strength for the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
